    Responsibilities

    • The Environmental Services Aide, assumes the primary responsibility of cleaning and servicing resident rooms, common areas, and exterior areas of the facility in accordance with facility policy as well as state and federal regulations to assure a clean, sanitary, safe, comfortable and homelike environment.
    • The Environmental Services Aide also assures all bio-hazardous waste/refuse is properly discarded on a daily basis to ensure the highest levels of sanitation are maintained.
    • The Environmental Services Aide, who works in laundry services, assumes the primary responsibility of assuring that all garments and linens are washed and dried using the facility�s commercial equipment in accordance with the manufacturer�s specifications.

    Qualifications

      Qualifications:
    • Must show the ability to comprehend and follow directions in order to complete assigned tasks.
    • Experience in an institutional setting performing housekeeping and/or laundry services is desired.
    • Awareness/knowledge of basic sanitation/infection control practices is desired.
    • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
