    The responsibility of the Cook is to oversee daily preparation of meals served to the residents, both independent and assisted living. The Cook will demonstrate commitment to resident satisfaction and positive resident and employee relations.

    Responsibilities

    • Be sure all food services meet the Food Service Sanitation Code, Health Department 77 III. Code 705 for Assisted Living and any local requirements
    • Season and cook food according to recipies or personal judgement and experience
    • Check the daily menu so as to instruct prep cooks on what will be needed to do for that day and to oversee all presentation of plates
    • Check the temperature of the coolers daily
    • Regulate the tempereature of steam table, ovens and grill at each meal time for proper temperatre and record on tally sheet
    • Portion, arrage and garnish food prior to leaving the kitchen

    Qualifications

    • Knowledge of food preparation
    • Knowledge of various food temperature requirements
    • Strong time management and problem solving skills
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English language.

     

     

    Shift Available

     

    • 11:00am - 7:30pm, some weekends are expected
