    The responsibility of the Dining Room Supervisor is to oversee day to day operation of the main dining room and other dining venues. The Dining Room Supervisor demonstrates commitment to resident satisfaction and positive resident and employee relations. Must assist in other departments and/or with other job duties as requested or necessary.

    Responsibilities

    Daily Duties:

    • Upon arrival check to ensure the night/morning staff has completed their assigned tasks.
    • Check to ensure scheduled staff is present and any call ins are covered. Adjust schedule as needed, ex: private parties, marketing events, etc.
    • Supervise all wait staff and bus boys to maintain timely service. The staff is required to keep the dining room and all of its contents clean.
    • Keep a daily record sheet of all meals served. Ensure that all meal tickets are rung up properly.
    • Monthly inspection of all linens, table vases, theme napkins and place mats for special occasions, etc.
    • Schedule necessary staff to handle additional guests. Include other departments when needed, i.e. Activities, Housekeeping, etc.
    • Cardwatch - data integrity on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
    • Assisting other team members when necessary
    • All other duties as assigned

    Miscellaneous Duties:

    • Interview and hire employees when necessary. Discipline and terminate employees when necessary.
    • Maintain budgeted hours for your various departments.
    • Oversee the overall cleanliness of the dining rooms as defined by company standards.
    • Manage execution of special events, menu, overall presentation of room and food. Be available during event for additional requests.
    • Review resident comment cards on a weekly basis as provided to you by the front office. Include all pertinent staff to resolve any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
    • Assisting other team members when necessary
    • Fill in for all dining room positions when short staff
    • All other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Clear background check
    • Strong time management and problem solving skills
    • Friendly and customer service oriented
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Work accurately with constant interruptions
    • Supervise 20+ staff at any given time
    • Ability to schedule staff
    • Must be able to read, speak, and understand English language
