    Responsibilities

      The VP, Financial Planning & Analysis reports to the CFO and will contribute to the company’s success by providing relevant data and analysis to support decision-making and enhance performance. This position will develop a small team and will build processes and capabilities, including budgeting and long-term financial planning, financial forecasting, and analysis to support business decisions.
    • Drive company-wide planning processes and ensure the financial plans meet the expectations of all stakeholders; identify all risks and opportunities
    • Direct the preparation of long-range financial plans, annual budgets (operating and capital), and rolling forecasts
    • Identify and monitor trends in the business and clearly communicate implications on future financial results
    • Lead the analysis of financial and operating results versus forecast and plan, investigate significant variances, and communicate findings to senior management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide value-added analysis and support of strategic initiatives, including new business opportunities, cost-saving opportunities, etc.
    • Oversee the capital expenditures process; ensuring appropriate ROI is obtained
    • Benchmark the company’s performance against competitors/industry data and develop gap analysis
    • Develop and implement a process for quarterly business reviews with leaders across the organization
    • Prepare financial presentations to the company’s Board, lenders, and others
    • Supervise, mentor and develop staff in order to achieve department and company goals
    • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting.
    • MBA is a plus.
    • At least 10 years of experience in a financial management role, with a minimum of 5 years of experience leading a high-performing FP&A team; healthcare industry experience is required.
    • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting and analytical tools and processes; knowledge of the Prophix tool is a plus
    • Proficient with Microsoft office products, with expert capabilities in Excel and PowerPoint
    • Ability to: oAnalyze business trends and opportunities and apply financial rigor throughout the evaluation process oConduct complex analysis, synthesize and summarize the implication to the business oCommunicate effectively in both written and verbal form oIdentify and implement enhanced financial reporting, planning and analysis practices and tools oProvide senior management with insight into financial issues and opportunities that may impact operations and growth oBuild relationships across the organization and deliver actionable information to support overall company goals and performance Physical Requirements:
    • Must have the ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop and reach, and to use hands to manipulate the computer, writing, calculation or other instruments to carry out responsibilities of the position.
    • Must be able to lift objects up to 20 pounds.
    • Must have adequate vision to perform essential job functions.
