    Responsibilities

    • The key function of the Social Service Program Director (SSPD) is to ensure that the medically related social services and psychosocial needs of the patients, residents and their families are met.
    • The SSPD is to ensure that these needs are identified and met in order to attain and/or maintain the highest practicable level of psychosocial well-being for each patient or resident.
    • The SSPD uses a professional process involving assessment, planning, goal setting, implementation and evaluation for the services that are to be provided in order to ensure compliance with both federal and state regulations

    Qualifications

    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a human services field.
    • Preference for a degree in social work.
    • Must have a degree in the human services field including but not limited to sociology, special education, rehabilitation counseling, and psychology.
    • One year of supervised social work experience in a health care setting working directly with individuals.
    • Previous supervisory experience a preference.
    • Basic computer skills.
    • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
