    Responsibilities

    • The Clinical Nurse Manager assumes 24 hour responsibility and accountability for effectively and efficiently managing all aspects of specific unit, including all activities involving resident, physicians, visitors and staff.
    • The clinical Nurse Manager collaborates with the D.O.N. in providing quality care to residents and serves as a clinical resource to the staff.
    • The Clinical Nurse Manager is responsible for the organizing, staffing, directing, coordinating, reporting and management of the unit, people, supplies and equipment in such a way that meaningful clinical services are established to render the optimum level of resident care.
    • This individual is expected to develop and encourage a teamwork approach within the facility as it pertains to clinical issues.
    • This position will be working with our Alzheimer and Dementia residents.

    Qualifications

    • Experienced Registered Nurse with an Illinois RN license
    • Knowledge and training of geriatric residents.
    • Experience working in a Dementia/Alzheimer unit a plus
    • Knowledge and understanding of the MDS preferred
    • Previous management/supervisory experience preferred.
    • Restorative Nursing preferred.
    • Possess excellent communication skills.
    • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
