    Responsibilities

    • The Dietitian manages the nutritional care of the residents.
    • The Dietitian assesses the resident’s nutritional needs and makes nutrition interventions when indicated.
    • Guidance is provided to staff in the prevention and management of skin breakdown, weight loss and gain, dehydration, enteral and parenteral nutrition, renal disease and other conditions.
    • The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.
    • The Dietitian is a position offering nutritional support to one or more facilities.

    Qualifications

    • Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist in the State of Illinois.
    • Certified by the State in food service sanitation.
    • Must be knowledgeable in the principles of nutrition and dietetics.
    • Must be able to function as a member of an interdisciplinary health care team.
    • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
