    • The Food Service Supervisor is responsible for the production and service of high-quality meals; to supervise and train dietary employee.
    • The purchasing of food and food supplies, and to provide a sanitary and infection free environment.
    • This employee must be capable of overseeing staff, and participate or play a key role in the decision making process.
    • This employee must have effective communication skills with the resident population within the facility, and possess capability to troubleshoot problematic issues and concerns.
    • The Food Service Supervisor (FSS) is an integral part of the interdisciplinary team.
    • The FSS is responsible for food quality, production, presentation of resident meals, and the structure of a functioning food committee.


    • Minimum 2 years management experience.
    • Healthcare experience preferred.
    • Associate’s degree or Certified Dietary Manager required.
    • Certified Food Service Sanitation Manager in the state of Illinois required.
    • Must have knowledge of federal, state, and local health department food service regulations.
    • Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language.
